Research.  Writing.  Science Communication.

I am a pyrogeographer interested in the interactions between fire, human societies, and environmental systems. Through remote sensing and geospatial analysis, I investigate how fire influences and is influenced by these systems, examining its distribution, patterns, and impacts across landscapes.

I earned my PhD in Ecology, Evolution, and Behavior with the Human-Environment Systems group at Boise State University.

England-born and raised, I now live in Idaho with my husband, Mark, and our dogs, Chipper and Baxter. I spend my free time hiking, gardening, and crafting. I am also a musican and I love to sing, play the piano, and violin.
